Crowns
A crown is a type of dental restoration that completely caps a tooth or dental implant. Crowns are often needed when a large cavity threatens the ongoing health of a tooth. They are typically bonded to the tooth and usually require removal of significant tooth material so the crown can fit over or into the natural tooth. Our practice proudly offers One-Visit Dentistry, allowing for on-site milling and placement of crowns in a single appointment.
Implants
Implants are surgically placed fixtures that interface with a patient’s jaw to replace missing teeth. They support dental prostheses such as a crown, bridge, or denture. An implant mimics the tooth root, making sure the jaw and gums are properly stressed. Doctors at our practice have vast experience and expertise in both placing implants and restoring them.
Bridges
A bridge is a fixed dental prosthesis (restoration) used to replace a missing tooth (or several teeth) by joining an artificial tooth permanently to adjacent teeth or dental implants. Bridges literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. It is made up of two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap and a false tooth/teeth in between.
Dentures
Dentures are false teeth (prosthetic devices) used to replace missing teeth. They can be either removable (partial or complete dentures) or they can bond onto teeth or dental implants (fixed prosthodontics).
Composite (White) Fillings
White fillings offer a great aesthetic advantage over the traditional amalgam alternative. They come in a wide range of tooth colors allowing near invisible restorations. Other important advantages include better adherence to natural teeth, greater flexibility to mold material to teeth, and, most importantly, reduced exposure to mercury. We are a mercury-free practice, and we proudly employ safe practices for its disposal.
Bonding
Bonding involves the shaping of composite resin to restore misshapen, chipped, or discolored teeth. For patients on a budget, this may be offered as an alternative to a dental crown. Aside from the cost advantage, composite restorations also conserve more of the natural tooth than implants do.
Tooth Extractions
We perform extractions most commonly to remove teeth that have become unrestorable due to tooth decay, gum disease, or dental trauma, especially when they are associated with a toothache. We also extract wisdom teeth that get stuck, prohibiting normal growth into the mouth.
Root Canal Therapy
Root canal therapy is the treatment of the infected pulp of a tooth to eliminate infection. It typically involves pulp removal, cleaning, decontamination of the tooth, and filling of the canals. We employ the latest in rotary endodontics to reduce instrumentation time, magnification loupes to increase visibility, and obturation technology to improve the precision of canal fillings.
